FORMAL PERIOD GARDEN

The brief for this garden in Malvern was to create a formal landscape around a large period home.

As with all design by Sandra McMahon at Gardenscape Design, whatever the client's tastes in style, the same sound principles are applied in the design: an emphasis on plant material for structure, appropriate plant selection for the site in order to give year-round interest, the creation of 'rooms' as a way of creating different spaces in the garden for different times of day or of year, and an element of mystery which invites the visitor into the garden.

This garden flows around the home, offering surprise, interest and peace at each turn.
